The SAM-8 was designed to allow robots to go under vehicles then be capable of extending up to eight feet from a four inch base and operate with multiple sensors.

SAM-8 can be mounted on existing Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV’s); stand alone applications or comes standard in the G-BOT.  In stand alone applications.  SAM-8 can be buried or hidden, tied to sensors that enable the system to rise up, record or transmit via SATCOM to a central site.

The G-BOT was designed as a low cost, under vehicle inspection robot that has the capability of extending the camera, microphone, speaker to look inside the vehicle, speak to the driver and listen to response from the operator.  The ability to do this from a safe distance reduced the exposure of our troops from car bombs.  The SAM-8 located in the G-BOT can perform over 30,000 cycles of the mast before maintenance is required.

SAM-8 can be designed to operate with pepper-spray/mace.  It offers the opportunity to do a Situational Awareness search, look down.  The unit can be designed to climb stairs.
